Keys for Successful Shows
After a fulfilling career as the Conference Coordinator for an international organization combined with many years of participating in craft shows as a customer, a crafter, and an organizer, I've decided to compile all of my observations and experiences in one place -- here. In addition to my own thoughts, I've recently surveyed hundreds of crafters, artisans, and show organizers for their opinions. You'll find my comments peppered with a few personal experiences . . . included to illustrate a point. Keep in mind that these are just suggested guidelines and certainly not meant to dictate what has to be done to guarantee a good show. When it comes to craft shows, there are no guarantees. What constitutes a "good" show is subjective. A show that's successful for one crafter may be a total bust for another. And, please, if you have any suggestions or comments, feel free to email them to me using the "Contact" link in the navigation bar. Please type "Key Comment" in the subject line of your email. I will post them on this page. Good luck with your upcoming shows!
This will be a work in progress for a while . . . .

| I LOVE the "Bringing Your Children" segment under Keys for Crafters. Now, if only people would listen to good advice! . . . . Jack L. |
| Great start on the Organizer Keys! Love the idea of displaying all the advertising we've done for our show. I'm looking forward to more . . . . Karen M. |
